Abstract

This study is aimed at a comprehensive analysis of the effectiveness of using
artificial intelligence (AI) tools in the process of forming professional competencies of future design specialists in higher education. The relevance of the research is driven by the digital
transformation of the educational environment and the need to train specialists capable of
effectively using modern technologies in their professional activities. The purpose of the study
is to determine the impact of artificial intelligence on the quality of project-based activities
of students in -related fields. The research methodology is based on a quasi-experimental
design. The study involved 120 students divided into control and experimental groups.
The experiment was conducted over one academic semester. The experimental group used
artificial intelligence tools (generative models, prototyping and analysis systems), while the
control group was taught using traditional methods. The evaluation of results was carried
out based on indicators of quality, originality, and task completion time using statistical
analysis methods. The results of the study demonstrated a statistically significant increase
in the quality of project-based work by 27%, a reduction in task completion time by 32%,
and an increase in originality by 18%. A strong positive correlation between the level of AI
usage and the quality of project outcomes was identified (r = 0.68). The scientific contribution
of the study lies in the empirical confirmation of the effectiveness of artificial intelligence
based on objective quantitative indicators. The practical significance of the research consists
in the possibility of integrating the results into educational programs for training design
specialists.
