The article deals with the positions of the different scientists about the impact of historical and pedagogical knowledge on
the formation of the professional competence of future educators. The historical and pedagogical knowledge is valuable
for the development of pedagogical theoretical and practical problems solving and for the professional teacher training
Nowadays a pedagogical value of history of pedagogy is not only the description, explanation of past facts in teaching
practice, the birth of new ideas, concepts, but formation of the personality of the educator. The author comes to the
conclusion that the historical and pedagogical knowledge have a positive effect on the formation of the student's personality
