Abstract

This article discusses the evolution of decorative arts and their importance in contemporary design. Particular attention is paid to the historical development of various styles and techniques influenced by cultural, social and technological changes. An important aspect is the consideration of traditional crafts and their transformation in modern conditions. The article analyzes how elements of decorative arts, including textiles, ceramics and furniture, are integrated into contemporary design to create unique aesthetic solutions and identities. It is noted that contemporary designers use historical motifs and techniques, adapting them to the requirements of the present day. It also examines the influence of modern technologies on the production and distribution of products, which allows national traditions to be preserved and passed on to future generations. The importance of symbiosis of the past and the present is emphasized as a basis for the creation of a new visual language that promotes cultural exchange and sustainable design. In addition, studying the evolution of decorative arts in this way helps us better understand the cultural roots of contemporary design and is an important reminder of the value of tradition in our quest for innovation. Ultimately, this interaction between past and present opens up new horizons for a future in which art and functionality will continue to find their place in human life.
