Abstract

Due to the high requirements for the speed and flexibility of upholstered furniture design, the use of modern information technologies is becoming increasingly relevant. Specialized software allows you to speed up the development process, optimize it, and create detailed sketches of future products. 3D modeling and the introduction of virtual reality (VR) are opening up new opportunities for the furniture industry. The article substantiates the need to use information technology in the design of upholstered furniture, provides an overview of 3D modeling programs, describes the advantages of their use, and also considers the process of manufacturing a sofa in 3D Max in stages, and then implemented in VR.
