Abstract

As an Alternative to traditional materials the article presents an overview of
new ceramic materials used in foreign construction for the purpose of analysis and the
possibility of their application in low-rise housing construction in Kazakhstan. On the
base of the conducted research the author considers the history of the production of
ceramic materials and the current level of development of the building materials
industry in this direction.
